12.09.20 release 'Day of the Strafers'

Recently completed my latest painting 'Day of the Strafers'. It depicts Lt Col John Landers on the 16th April 1945, as the eighth air force's escort fighter groups laid waste to the Luftwaffe over airfields across Europe.

Landers would claim nine Heinkel 177 bombers destroyed, while collectively , VII Fighter Command would account for 752 aircraft destroyed on the ground.

The painting is oil on canvas at 120cm x 60cm.

02.12.18 Flypast article

I was very flattered to be asked to write a 'behind the scenes' article on my Valor commission 'Outrun the Eagles' for Flypast magazine.

It's actually an interesting process trying to break down your artistic choices into words, at the time you don't really think about it, but in writing the article you actually realise there is some method to the madness!

Flypast is now on sale in the shops.
